Our founder, Arthur Moynihan, entered the lumber business in 1918 near his home on the Saugus-Revere line. His brother John started his own company in 1930 and almost 30 years later they partnered to start our first location in North Reading in 1959.
We started humbly with but a few small building and a wooded lot we needed to clear to start the yard. But our motto has always been the same through the decades, “Quality backed by a desire to please.”
